The Wonderland

Our houses, festivals, and stories in Shediac

Le Griffon is the first house of Shediac Wonderland, a collection of story-driven houses built since 2017. Breakfast, supper, a drive-in, the beach, and three festivals: each is a short walk or a short drive from your room.

Eat and drink

Le Moque-Tortue

All year · 11:30am to 9pm in summer, to 8pm in winter

Our bistro, seven doors down (402 Main Street). Lobster ten ways, oysters, mussels, fresh pasta, house pastries, a serious cocktail bar, La Jabberwock on tap, and one of Canada’s largest board game collections.

Adorable Chocolat

All year · From 7:30am

Our chocolaterie and café, across from the bistro (395 Main Street), where you’ll take breakfast. Chocolates made in-house, espresso, viennoiseries, house ice cream on the terrace in summer, and a 5-à-7 bar on summer evenings. Ships across Canada.

Morse et Marteaux

Per fumum ad fabulam

Smokehouse and lobster shack. Brisket smoked at least sixteen hours over maple. At Smith & Main next to Adorable, at the Neptune Drive-In, and at the east end of Parlee Beach in summer.

Go out

The Neptune Drive-In

May to October · Gates open with the dusk

Since 1965, less than 3 km away by the Parlee Beach entrance. A 72-foot screen, 4K projection, double features, and sound on 92.7 FM. French-language films on Tuesdays.

Witzend

Kiosk at 229 Main Street

Tours and adventures. Its kiosk at the Homarus Centre, beside the Giant Lobster, is the front door to all of Shediac: tickets and bookings for our experiences and many others. The escape rooms, inside Le Moque-Tortue, are being readied to reopen.

Bazar Neptune

At the Neptune Drive-In

A curated outdoor market of makers, growers, and artisans on the Neptune grounds, with live music. Summer Friday evenings; the season’s dates are at bazarneptune.ca.

The Le Moque-Tortue patio

At Parlee Beach

The East Canteen and East Tikki Bar

Summer

Morse et Marteaux, at the east end of the beach since 2024: lobster rolls, fish and chips, scallops, brisket, and a bar on the sand.

WitZuit

From May 2027

At the west end, from May 2027: a raw bar shucking oysters to order, lobster rolls, seafood chowder, and the WitZuit Beach Bar, on the sand.

Le Pavillon Parlee

From May 2027

Upstairs in the same building: a games café and cocktail bar by day, and a 150-seat hall for weddings and events. Le Griffon can house the whole wedding party.

The 2027 festivals

Three festivals on the Neptune grounds and Parlee Beach. Tickets go on sale 29 October 2026. Festival weekends fill Le Griffon first, so book your room when you book your tickets.

The Shediac Mascarade

28 to 30 May 2027

Regency to Victorian: masks, manners, and a Masked Ball on Saturday night. Friday at Parlee Beach, the weekend at the Neptune.

The Shediac Renaissance Faire

20 to 22 August 2027

Knights and duels, live music, artisans and merchants, feasting, magic, and strange wonders, at the Neptune and Parlee Beach. The first edition, in 2026, sold out almost a month ahead.

Afterland

1 to 3 October 2027

Set in the year 2285, after the end of the world, which turns out to be survivable. Music, machines, and fires on the beach.
